We split the roles into ‘cooks’ and ‘volunteers’.

• Cooks will typically make the hot meal and sandwiches during the day on Sunday and bring this down to the centre at 4.30 pm. If you don’t have a car and live local to Guildford we can arrange collection. Cooks are not required to stay and serve.
• Volunteers will come to the centre for 4:30 pm until close and help finish off the food, serve & support the guests and pack away at the end. We usually finish between 6:00 pm and 6:15 pm. We will have 1 duty coordinator (keyholder) on duty, alongside 3 volunteers. We try our best to balance the genders of our volunteers.

Please email our chair and he will then take your details and put you in touch with the duty coordinator (keyholder) who will organise a time for a short taster centre at Beverley Hall to suit you.

We run a rota system and both volunteers and cooks are typically ‘on duty’ every 4 weeks. Rotas run for 3-4 months at a time. The rota co-ordinator will ask before the start of the next which dates you can’t do, and we will work out the rest!
